Streamlined U.S. Customs Compliance
U.S. Customs & Bonded Warehousing
Importing into Hawaii means working with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Our customs bonded warehouse gives you a secure, compliant place to store imported goods and more control over when you pay duties.
What is a customs bonded warehouse?
It is a secured facility authorized by CBP where imported goods can be stored before duties and taxes are paid. Goods can stay in bond for up to five years, and the facility is supervised jointly by the operator and CBP.
Benefits
- Duty deferral: Pay duties only when goods leave the warehouse, improving cash flow.
- Flexibility: Repackage, label, and sort goods while they are in bond.
- Compliance: Reduce the risk of penalties and import delays.
- Security: Protection against theft, damage, and loss.
How it works
- Arrival: Imported goods are moved to the bonded warehouse.
- Inspection: CBP reviews and approves release, often electronically.
- Storage: Goods are stored, processed, or prepared for shipment.
- Duty payment: Duties and taxes are paid when goods are withdrawn for sale or distribution.
General Order warehousing
Goods not cleared through customs within 15 days are moved to a General Order warehouse. Owners pay the transport and storage costs and can lose the merchandise if it is not claimed within six months. As a General Order warehouse ourselves, we help importers resolve these situations quickly.
More services
- Drayage: Transportation from the port to our warehouse and on to the final destination.
- Inventory management: Tracking for everything stored in bond.
- Order fulfillment: Accurate delivery to your customers once goods are released.
